Today the Chamber President, Mr. Richard Ngatia led a section of KNCCI board delegation to pay a courtesy call to the Cabinet Secretary treasury to discuss various items affecting the Kenyan business community and to build on a previous meeting that was held in January 2020.
During the meeting, Mr. Ngatia briefed the CS on the current Chamber activities that are being undertaken to support enterprises during this COVID-19 period.
Mr. Ngatia highlighted several activities that are being undertaken including; Training, hosting of virtual webinars on different topical areas, engagement with Counties on enterprise survival mechanism, and supply programs on essential services.
The Chairman went ahead to update the team on strategic partners as well as other stakeholders and financial institutions who are working with KNCCI on proposed partnerships to cushion SMEs on cash flow issues and financial inclusion through training and skills development targeting 3 million enterprises.
The cabinet secretary welcomed KNCCI to collaborate with the National Treasury.
